Crime report


LAURINBURG — Aaron Blake Smith, 26, of 453 Mellow Lane, was arrested on Tuesday and served with Robeson County warrants for second degree trespass, assault with a deadly weapon, and probation violation, according to police. Smith was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG — A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged in a Saturday shooting, according to police. The shooting occur ed around 4:30 p.m. in Tara Village when the teenager allegedly shot into a Dodge Ram occupied by five people. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle theft

LAURINBURG — A 1999 Honda Civic was reported stolen from an East Church Street parking lot on Tuesday, according to police. The victim reported that he left the car running outside the old bus motel and returned to find it missing.


LAURINBURG — A resident of Perry, Georgia reported an incident of financial card fraud on Tuesday at a South Main Street Citgo station, according to police. The card was reported stolen in Maxton and later used at the Citgo for a $52 purchase.

Counterfeit bill

LAURINBURG — Advance Auto Parts reported the receipt of a counterfeit $100 bill on Tuesday, according to police.
