LAURINBURG — A resident of Avery Street reported on Monday that someone broke in and stole four an Xbox and assorted clothing, according to a police report. The stolen items were worth a total of $835.

LAURINBURG — A woman reported the larceny of her Apple iPhone on Monday after she left it at Pizza Inn on South Main Street, according to a police report. The stolen phone was worth $600.

LAURINBURG — A woman reported Monday the larceny of her cellphone after she met up with a man from a dating site called Plenty of Fish, according to a police report. The man took off with her $300 phone after meeting with her.

SCAM

LAURINBURG — An elderly woman reported Monday that she received a phone call from a scam company claiming to be the Department of Revenue asking for personal information, according to a police report. The woman gave the information and later called police. No money had been taken from her account at the time she filed the report.
