Arrests

LAURINBURG —Jonnetta Denise Johnson, 46, of 311 Buie St. in Red Springs was arrested Friday for four-counts of felony uttering forged instrument and four-counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses, according to a police report. Johnson was arrested at the Durham County Detention Center and placed under a $74,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG — Fredrick Alexander Locklear, 49, of East Church Street was arrested Saturday for assault on a female, communicating threats, larceny, two-counts of injury to personal property, injury to real property and resisting, delaying and obstructing arrest, according to a police report. Locklear was placed under a $7,500 secured bond.

Theft

LAURINBURG — Several vehicles were reported broken into on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Express parking lot, according to a police report. Stolen was jewelry, workout equipment and clothing. Police have video of three males in a small dark car breaking into the cars, but they have not identified the subjects. Police ask anyone with information to contact the department.

LAURINBURG — A 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue parked on 350 Grant St. was reported damaged and the battery was stolen, according to a police report.

LAURINBURG — An iPhone was stolen on Sunday from a church located at 910 S. Caledonia Rd., according to a police report. The phone is worth $650.

LAURINBURG — A 2014 Honda Civic was reported broken into on Monday, according to a police report. Stolen was $100 worth of medication.

Break ins

LAURINBURG — The press box and storage shed at the Scotland High School softball field was reported broken into on Sunday, according to a police report. Nothing was taken, but there was $100 worth of damage to the door.
