Shootings

LAURINBURG — Tony Nance Jr., 19, was shot in the right knee on Old Lumberton Road on Friday and he was was unable to identify where the bullet came from, according to a police report. Nance was treated and released from the hospital after the shooting. There are no suspects at this time.

WAGRAM — A resident of Hill Creek Road reported that he was shot in the foot around 2 a.m. on Monday morning, according to a sheriff’s report.

Arrests

LAURINBURG — Henry McNeal, Jr., 51, of 4256 Honey St. was arrested on Sunday under a warrant for felonious obtaining property by false pretenses, according to a sheriff’s report. McNeal was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.

LAUREL HILL — Isaac Terry, 23, of 9580 Third Ave. was arrested on Saturday under a warrant for assault on a female and communicating threats, according to a sheriff’s report. Terry was placed under a $1,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG — Charles Tyson, 50, was arrested on Aug. 26 and placed at the Scotland County Detention Center under no bond for felony larceny. According to a Scotland County sheriff’s report, Tyson was charged in connection with a larceny that occurred at Morgan Street on August 17. The property was recovered in Maxton and returned to the owner, the report said.

LAURINBURG — William Mark Medlin, 27, was arrested and charged with felony larceny in April on Jamestown Drive, according to a Scotland County sheriff’s report. Medlin was placed at the Scotland County Detention Center under no bond.

GIBSON — Norman Leroy Johnson Jr, Xway Road, was charged with one count of breaking and entering and larceny, Scotland County sheriff’s report. Several items were taken from a home in the Gibson area and were not recovered. Johnson was placed at the Scotland County jail.

Thefts

LAURINBURG — A resident of Glasgow Drive reported finding a sterling silver flatware set missing from her home on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. The silverware was valued at $900.

GIBSON — A resident of Dunc Pate Road reported that someone entered her home through an unlocked rear door on Thursday and stole an AT&T jet-pack and a Samsung Galaxy cell phone, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Carver Street reported on Sunday a stolen television, 5-disc CD player and a surround system, according to a police report. The total value was $210.

LAURINBURG — A 2014 Nissan Sentra parked at the United Methodist Church reported broken into on Friday, according to a police report. Stolen was a purse, but it was later turned into the police with nothing missing.
