LAUREL HILL — Laurel Hill First Baptist Church on Jan. 11 will hold a “Diva Pageant,” featuring an appearance from a 14-year-old dancer who has been a contestant on a national television show.
Chloe Beatty, a Winston-Salem resident known on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” as Chloe Love, will perform at the pageant that will showcase the talents of 35 local girls who are aged 6 to 17 years old.
Beatty is a member of her parent’s dance school, Angela and Kent Beatty, and performs with her mother’s pre-professional dance company and at the Institute of Divine Arts. She is a member of St. Peter’s World Outreach in Winston-Salem, a member of her school’s swim team, and, according to her mother, believes that if she “places God first, the Lord will continue to use her for his great works.”
Other guests will include Miss Fayetteville State University and other pageant queens, The Imani Gospel Choir; Scotland High Cheerleaders; Rooster Roo Puppet Ministry and Elite Dance Academy.
The event will be held at the St. Johns Educational Building at The Highlands at 4 p.m. For information, call the Rev. Essie Davis at 910-384-4291.
