Arrests


WAGRAM — Keith McNeill, 43, of 29601 Hill Creek Road, was arrested and charged with felonious breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering in Scotland County and held under a $28,500 secured bond, according to a sheriff’s report. He was also charged in Hoke County with misdemeanor trespassing, communicating threats, simple assault, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer and felonious possession with intent to sell and deliver counterfeit controlled substances.


LAURINBURG — Angelo Cummings, 50, of 426 Elliott Drive, was served with orders for arrests for failure to appear in court Friday for two counts of felonious indecent liberties with a child, according to a police report. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond.


In June 2013 Cummings was arrested after a family member reported to police that he was found at home alone with a 12-year-old Laurinburg girl.


LAURINBURG — Brian Gillespie, 21, of 105 Meridith Drive in Aberdeen, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault, larceny and two counts of communicating threats, according to a police report. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Heritage Martin, 24, of 419 Arcadia Drive Apt. 14 in McColl, S.C., was arrested and charged with larceny Sunday on N.C. 401, according to a police report. He was held under a $7,500 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Cleophus Bass, 74, of 815 Covenant Way, was served a warrant Friday for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, according to a sheriff’s report. He signed a written promise to appear in court.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — It was reported on Sunday that someone broke into the science building at St. Andrews University and stole equipment valued at a combined $9,400, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — Christopher Covington, of Stewartsville Road, reported Sunday that someone broke into his vehicle parked on South Caledonia Road and stole a handgun, according to a police report.


LAUREL HILL — Claira Manning, of Pate Street, reported on Sunday that someone broke into her home, caused about $30 damage to a breaker box panel and stole a deep well water pump, well water tank, copper wire and two metal statues, valued at a combined $1,320, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Lee Christian, of Barnes Bridge Road, reported Saturday that someone broke into her home and took a box of coins and a box of jewelry valued at a combined $1,000, according to a sheriff’s report.


Theft


LAURINBURG — It was reported Saturday that someone went to the home of Annie McClennahan, of Stewartsville Road, and stole an iron stove and metal outdoor furniture from her yard, valued at $450, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — Jeff Caudill, of High Point, reported Saturday that someone stole an air conditioning unit from a home on West Boulevard, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — Bret Osborne, of Jefferson Street in Hamlet, reported Friday that someone stole two leaf blowers from the back of his pickup truck parked at the Kangaroo Express, on South Main Street, according to a police report.


GIBSON — Bobby Pearson, of Quick Street, reported Sunday that someone stole his pit bull, worth $400, that was chained in the front yard, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Wanda Locklear, of Harrison Road, reported on Saturday that someone stole assorted jewelry, money and a radio speaker valued at $1,800, from her home, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Clayton Wright, of Salley McNair Road, reported Friday that someone took a pistol from his vehicle parked at his home, according to a sheriff’s report.
