Arrests


LAURINBURG — Waylon Haggins, 28, of 3428 Pinelog Road in Lumberton, was served an order for arrest Monday for failure to appear in court, according to a police report. He was held under a $500 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Zulaykah Lemon, 23, of 205 Collin St. in Clio, was served with 10 counts of orders for arrest for failure to appear in court Sunday, according to a police report. Lemon was also charged with trespassing and vandalism. She was held under a $3,200 secured bond.


LAURINBURG — Police officers responded to complaints made by an administrator at St. Andrews University Monday about drug use, according to a police report. A student that lives on campus, Stacy Canty, 19, allowed officers to search her room and they found less than a half ounce of marijuana, two drug paraphernalia devices and assorted alcohol. Canty was charged by citation for simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and alcohol offenses.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Andrea Newberry, of Hasty Road, reported on Monday that someone broke into her home and stole a flat-screen television, worth about $1,500, according to a police report.


MARSTON — It was reported on Monday that someone broke into Shirley Covington’s home on Harris Road, according to a sheriff’s report. The thief broke the glass at the back door and stole about $1,530 worth of medication, electronics and other assorted items.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — Candace Malachi, of Melton Street, reported Monday that someone scratched her vehicle, a 2002 Mitsubishi, causing about $700 worth of damage, according to a police report.
