Break in

LAURINBURG – An employee of Ned’s Pawn Shop on Main Street reported to police on Monday that someone attempted to break into the store around 5 a.m. by breaking a glass door leaving $200 in damages.

LAURINBURG – Treasure City Pawn located on the corner of Main and Roper Streets reported to police on Monday that someone broke into a metal door around 7 a.m. and took a rifle and shotgun valued at $1,600 and leaving $300 in damages to the door.

LAURINBURG – A guest at the Clinton Inn reported to police on Monday that someone broke into his unsecured vehicle and stole a wallet and ID cards valued at $88.

LAURINBURG – An employee of Martin Transport located on Airport Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone broke a door and stole two air compressors, a saw, hammer drill and battery charger, water heater, glass door and the security camera system total value $1,975.

Larceny

LAURINBURG – A guest at Pine Acres Lodge located on US 401 South reported to police on Saturday that she left her wallet valued at $110 in the room and returned to find it missing.

Burglary

LAURINBURG – A resident of Alpha Street reported to police on Friday that he returned home to find a man in his home. The man, in all black clothing, ran from the home toward Johnson Street.

Drugs

LAURINBURG – Michael Scott, 26 of Cooper Street, was charged with simple possession after the vehicle he was in tried to avoid a traffic stop.

LAURINBURG – During a traffic stop, Quinesha McIntyre, 19, of McLaughlin Road, was cited for driving while license revoked, a stop sign violation and simple possession. Cassity Williams, 20, of McLaughlin Road was cited for simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DWI

LAURINBURG – James Ford, 66 of Lees Mill Road, was arrested for driving while impaired and given a $1,000 secured bond, according to police.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG – A customer of Danny’s 66 service station located at Church Street reported to police on Friday that someone broke the driver’s side window of her 2008 Nissan while it was parked at the station causing $150 in damages.

LAUREL HILL – A resident of Peel’s Chapel Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone shot from the woods toward the home and damaged the siding and a vehicle windshield total value $400.

LAUREL HILL – A resident of Andrew Jackson Highway reported to the sheriff’s office on Friday that someone shot at the home with a BB gun and broke an exterior window.

Arrests

MAXTON – Clinton Drimaine McLaurin, of Smith Street, was arrested on probation violations and received no bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

MARSTON – Javaughn Emmanuel McMillian, 18, of Harris Road, was arrested on one misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a relative’s car and given a $500 bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Marquetta Latrice Henderson, 30, of Mills Street, was arrested on one count of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and given a $5,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
