LAURINBURG — Police are seeking a city man suspected of seriously injuring 24-year-old Daloryan Clark Rogers in a Friday night shooting on East Vance Street.
Antonio Ellerbe, 26, of 814 Covenant Way is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and for breaking and entering.
According to Chief Darwin Williams of the Laurinburg Police Department, officers found Rogers in the backseat of a vehicle in the driveway of 408 East Vance St., where he had been visiting friends, shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday.
Rogers had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital by EMS. His injuries were not life-threatening.
After interviewing witnesses and others in the area, authorities identified Ellerbe as a suspect in the shooting. Ellerbe’s prior convictions include robbery, assault, and drug violations.
