Arrests made in break ins

LAURINBURG — Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division arrested two men last week after receiving information about a break-in in the Scotch Meadows area, according to Capt. Mitchell Johnson.

Johnson said items taken during the Scotch Meadow area break in were later recovered and returned to the owner. Officers also recovered stolen merchandise from Robeson County.

Marshall Gibson, 30, of Liza Lane and Ryan Christopher Gibson, 24, of Mclaughlin Road were arrested and charged with one count each of breaking or entering, larceny after break/enter and possession of stolen property.

The men were placed in the Scotland County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond. They are scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.
