Laurinburg men arrested on drug, weapons charges

LAURINBURG — After police stopped a car at Rob’s Convenience Store on South Caledonia Road on Monday, two Laurinburg men were arrested and charged with drug and weapons violations, according to authorities.

Marcus Carter, 23, of 517 Produce Market Road, was charged with two counts of felonious possession of a stolen firearm and one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

Anthony Galbreath, 23, of 808 West Allen Lane was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.

Upon a search of their vehicle, authorities said they found three firearms, including one that was reported stolen from a Greensboro address, and 15 bags of marijuana.

Carter was placed under $25,000 secured bond and Galbreath was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.
