LAURINBURG — Police are searching for two men that used stolen checks to purchase items at Food Lion and Walmart.

The Laurinburg Police Department are investigating a case that occurred Nov. 25 where two suspects used the same stolen checkbook to purchase items from grocery stores.

One man purchased items from Food Lion in the Scotland Crossing shopping center and Food Lion in the Northside Square shopping center in Aberdeen. The other man purchased items from the Laurinburg Walmart Supercenter.

All three checks belonged to the same victim, who is a Laurinburg resident, according to police.

Police have obtained surveillance tapes and photos from the stores and are asking the community to help identify the men.
