LAURINBURG — The Laurinburg Police Department responded to separate three shootings on Wednesday.

The first incident was reported at 12:11 p.m. on Hammond Drive.

The report said two vehicles, a blue Honda Civic and a gold Chevrolet Equinox, drove by each other and multiple shots were fired, according to police.

Bullet shell casings were found on Hammond Drive between Muse and South Pine street, according to police.

A second shooting was reported at 1:15 p.m. That shooting occurred near Biggs and McRae streets and involved a green Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

A third shooting occurred at 2:50 p.m. and may have been in relation for the 12:11 p.m. shooting, police said.

The woman who called in a third shooting said she found bullet marks on her gold Chevrolet Equinox that she lent to an acquaintance, according to police.

“No one was injured during the shootings that we know of,” said Assistant Chief Cliff Sessoms with the Laurinburg Police Department. “Arrests are expected to be made for the first shooting.”
