Arrest

LAURINBURG — Lamont C. Worth, 19, of Maryland was arrested Wednesday regarding an incident Oct. 5 where he pretended to sell a dirt-bike and robbed four people at gunpoint, according to a police report. Worth was arrested for robbery with a dangerous weapon, four counts of assault by pointing a gun, resisting a public officer, second-degree trespassing and failure to appear. He was placed under a $52,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG —Dwight Hall IV, 25, of 749 Huggins Rd. in Lumberton was arrested Monday for felonious larceny after selling stolen items to a pawn shop in Red Springs, according to a sheriff’s report. Hall was placed under a $3,500 bond.

Larceny

LAURINBURG — A man reported Wednesday that he was assaulted by two males who took his money when he was walking by Rob’s Convenience Store on South Caledonia Road, according to a police report. The man was treated for injuries at the hospital.

LAURINBURG — A resident of 711 Highland Dr. reported Wednesday the breaking and entering of the storage building and larceny of a dryer, bicycle and golf clubs, according to a police report. The stolen items were worth a total of $1,550.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Lee’s Mill Road reported Wednesday the breaking and entering and larceny of her laptop, internet hot-spot and DVD player, according to a police report. The stolen items were worth a total of $260.

Vandalism

LAURINBURG — The owner of a 2007 Mitsubishi reported Wednesday that the window was smashed while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot, according to a police report. There was $150 worth of damage to the side window

LAURINBURG — A camera at Scotland High School was reported vandalized Wednesday, according to a police report. Police have identified the student who vandalized it and a juvenile petition is being obtained.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Beta Street reported Wednesday a broken window, according to a police report. There was $100 worth of damage to the window.

LAURINBURG — A resident of North Gill Street reported Wednesday a broken window, according to a police report. There was $100 worth of damage to the window.

Student Misconduct

LAURINBURG — A fight was reported Tuesday between two Scotland High School juveniles, according to a police report. The students received a juvenile petition for disorderly conduct and simple affray.
