LAUREL HILL — A Laurel Hill man has been charged with sexual offenses against a minor, according to sheriff’s reports.
Jacob Morgan, 19, of 6741 Andrew Jackson Highway was charged on Monday with one count of first degree rape and one count of taking indecent liberties with a minor. Both of those charges are felonies.
The alleged victim was 12 years old, according to Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Captain Mitch Johnson. It is The Laurinburg Exchange’s policy not to identify the victims of sexual crimes.
Morgan was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor.
Morgan was placed under a $120,000 secured bond with a first court appearance scheduled on Wednesday.
