LAURINBURG — Police are searching for a Laurinburg man accused of raping two women on Sunday.

Warrants were issued Tuesday for 37-year-old Taurus Flowers.

Police say they plan to charge Flowers with two counts of second-degree rape after breaking into a home on James Street and assaulting the women. One of the victims was disabled, according to police.

The women were treated and released from Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Flowers will also be charged with two counts of second-degree kidnapping, breaking and entering and assault on a handicapped person, police said.

Flowers has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1999 with convictions that include indecent exposure, assault on female, assault by pointing gun, violation of a protective order, DWI, larceny and trespassing, according to records with the state Department of Corrections.
