The McLeod Mobile Mammography Unit will be offering to pay the costs of mammograms those that qualify beginning Oct. 21.
The organization will hold the mammogram sessions from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. at the Wal-Mart located in Bennettsville,South Carolina, 1250 Bennettsville Square, Highway 9 West.
To be eligible, residents must be from Marlboro County and be between the ages of 40and 64. Those with insurance or insurance that only covers hospital care will not qualify.
Bring a government picture ID to your appointment. Appointments typically last 15-20 minutes and must be scheduled in advance. Space is limited.
The mammography project is funded by gifts to the McLeod Health Foundation. Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned, not-for-profit, institution of nearly 650 physicians, offering their services in at least five cities in South Carolina.
