Mary Frances Long, age 75 of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at Autumn Care of Raeford.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Old Hillside Cemetery.

Mary Frances was born Feb. 20, 1934 in McColl, S.C., daughter of the late John Wilton Long, Sr. and Ethel Mae Wilkes Long Porter. She was a supervisor for Abbot Laboratories, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a loving and compassionate person who truly loved taking care of her animals.

She is survived by a brother, John Wilton Long, Jr. and wife Ann of Laurinburg; a sister-in-law, Grace Long Russo and her husband Leonard of Laurinburg; her aunt, Vera Hardee of Laurinburg; nieces, Carrie Long Clyburn of Bennettsville, S.C. and Ann Long Shampy of Laurinburg; a nephew, John W. Long III of Gibson; and many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
