Sandy Carter, president of the Scottish Pilot Club of Laurinburg, presented a check to Stewart and Carol Thomas, event co-chairs of Relay for Life, for her club's annual sponsorship of Relay for Life. The Scottish Pilot Club has supported Relay for Life as a corporate sponsor for many years.

Stewart Thomas expressed his gratitude to the club. "(I am proud) that Relay for Life is in its 13th year, and I thank President Carter for her club's loyal sponsorship through the years."

Carter said that the success of the recent Barbara Sasseen Golf Tournament "enabled the Scottish Pilot Club to make this contribution. I am glad we are able to be a supporter of Relay for Life, (which) is due to the hard work of the ladies in the club."
