Miki Taylor of Laurinburg was inducted into Alpha Chi, UNC Pembroke’s oldest chartered honor society.

Inducted in late 2012, the class had 98 students.

A junior accounting major, Taylor is the daughter of Mitchell and Jeanette Taylor.

Membership in Alpha Chi is the highest and most prestigious academic award that you can attain at UNCP. Membership in Alpha Chi places students among a distinguished group of individuals: juniors who rank in the upper 5 percent of their class and seniors who rank in the upper 10 percent of their class.

The university has had an active chapter since 1975.
