Gypsy is a gentle natured, 18 month old Husky/Boxer mixed girl, with a clean white coat, with swirls and markings of charcoal and toffee.

Gypsy has great manners and walks perfectly on a leash, sits on command and is very attentive to whoever she is with. Usually dogs can be difficult to get to pose for photos, but Gypsy stood perfectly still and was very well behaved. Gypsy is especially blessed, since she was prayed over at the “Blessing of the Animals” at St. David’s Episcopal Church this past weekend. She traveled very well in the front seat of our volunteer Kathy Murphy’s car and loved visiting with the other pets and people who had come to the service. We need a hero to come in and show her what a dog’s life should be like. Gypsy is heartworm negative. Pen 8, D-286

The adoption fee for dogs like Gypsy is $90, which includes spaying or neutering, microchip and introductory immunizations. If you have any questions about adoption, fostering, volunteering or the $10 Spay and Neuter Program, call the Scotland County Humane Society at the JD & Fran Asher Animal Shelter at 1401 West Blvd. Laurinburg or call (910) 276-9271 or visit www.scotlandhumane.org
