Scratching your head about something fun to do in Scotland County? A visit to the Wagram Recreation Center might put an end to the activities search.
The center has continued to offer a wide variety of activities since it opened its doors in 2010. And we are not just talking about recreation, although it has that too.
The multipurpose center has basketball court, walking track, fitness room, classroom and general meeting space. But the center’s programming has been great too. The center’s calendar of events this month include plans for a potluck meal; “me time” for harried parents; and a free seminar on healthy living.
The Wagram Recreation Center was funded by a $500,000 Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grant. The Scotland County Board of Commissioners matched the grant amount. So far it seems to be money well spent.
If you get a chance, we suggest you check out what the Wagram center has to offer. It is located at 24441 Marlboro Street in Wagram.
