The Bridge-at-the-Village Club at Scotia Village in Laurinburg will be participating in the ACBL-wide Senior Pairs Tournament by sponsoring such games on March 5, 2012. At a cost of $7 per player, the games will begin at 12:30 p.m., ending sometime between 4 and 4:30 in the afternoon. Players 55 years of age or older as of the day of the event are welcome to enjoy these games.

The Senior Pair Games are sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League, of which the Bridge-at-the-Village Club is a member. Hundreds of clubs in Canada and the United States are hosting this event during the day on March 5, and the Laurinburg location is one of the 13 sites in North and South Carolina holding such games.

Twenty-one boards will be played, filled with the same hands being played throughout the nation. Hand records and analyses will be available, allowing players to compare their performance with others elsewhere. Master points will be awarded to Overall Winners, to District Winners, and to Local Winners. In addition, winners will be recognized on the web site and Overall Winners in the Bridge Bulletin.

Additional information will be forthcoming, but for more information immediately contact Mac Doubles, club president, 277-7512, or Brian Potter, club manager, 248-890-7540.
