LAURINBURG — The city of Laurinburg at Tuesday’s City Council meeting approved a utility disconnection date for the fifth day of the following month, eliminating provisions for an extension that would have granted customers until the 3 day to pay bills.
Previously, the disconnection date was on the 26th of the month.
According to a statement from the city on Wednesday, no extensions will now be granted except in cases of extreme heat or cold or a death at the residence.
