LAURINBURG — Timothy Brigman, 43, of Laurinburg was arrested at Walmart and charged for larceny on Thursday, according to a police report. He was held under a $2,500 bond.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Thomas Adams of Knox Street reported that someone damaged his screen door latch in an attempt to break into his home, according to a police report. The latch is valued about $50.


Theft


LAURINBURG — Kathy Williams reported that someone took a $600 cell phone from a desk in a classroom in Scotland High School, according to a police report.


GIBSON — Willard Locklear of Old Stage Road reported Thursday that someone took a boat from his home valued at about $1,000, according to a sheriff’s report.
