Crime report for Oct. 26

LAURINBURG — Jamie Oxendine, 33, of McRae Street was arrested Thursday for obtaining prescription medication with false prescriptions at the Medical Village Pharmacy, according to a police report.

According to the report, Oxendine was pulled over by an officer, who found large quantities of prescription medications and a prescription pad with several pages of unused prescription paper. Oxendine was charged with two counts of trafficking, obtaining a control substance by fraud and possession with intent to sell and deliver. He was held under $752,500 bond.

LAURINBURG — Hasson Williams, 21, of Blakely Road was arrested Thursday for breaking and entering and larceny, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $7,500 bond.

LAURINBURG — Steve Locklear, 46, of Carl Drive was arrested Thursday at the sheriff’s office for communicating threats, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Lawrence Cousar of Produce Market Road reported Thursday that someone stole his homemade utility trailer, according to a police report. The trailer is valued at $1,500.

LAURINBURG — Janie Williams of Prestwick Village reported Thursday that someone took $80 out of her purse, according to a police report.
