Arrests


LAURINBURG — Brandon Brooks, 26, of Tens Drive was arrested on Wednesday and charged for possession of a firearm by felon, possession of altered serial number gun and carrying a concealed gun, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $25,000 bond.


LAURINBURG — Miguel Herrington, 16, of Village Drive was arrested on Wednesday for trespassing on school property, according to a police report. He was held under a $750 bond.


LAURINBURG — David Strong, 48, of Bryant Circle was charged and arrested for felony larceny on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $750 bond.


Fraud


WAGRAM — Becky Deese of Indian Reservation Road reported a fraud on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. She obtained $1,200 worth of false U.S. currency from a website called www.shadowshopper.com.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Jasmine Ratcliff of Keystone Way reported a breaking and entering, larceny and vandalism on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. Someone broke a window and stole a DVD player, laptop, PlayStation 3, Android phone charger, earphones and jewelry. The estimated value of all items stolen and the damage done to the window is $4,029.


LAURINBURG — Kirt Heckert of Midland Way reported a breaking and entering on Wednesday, according to a police report. Someone broke into his storage shed and stole a chain saw and a lawn mower.


LAURINBURG — Christie Craner of Yadkin Avenue reported Wednesday that someone broke into her storage buildings and stole about $3,600 worth of assorted furniture and personal property, according to a police report.


LAURINBURG — Crystal Blades of Fairmont Street reported on Wednesday that someone entered her home and took video games and a controller, according to a police report.


Theft


LAURINBURG — The Carolina Specialty Contractors company, at Carl Drive, reported Wednesday that someone took a utility trailer from the property without permission, according to a police report. Two steel bath tubs and three wheeled utility trash cans were on the trailer.
